Raiwala, Rishikesh
The scholarship was launched in memory of a 12-year-old patient of Ganga Prem Hospice – Anek, who passed away in 2025. Three deserving children were chosen for the scholarship, with carries a total award money of Rs 25,000 per year. These three children, whoare aged nine, ten, and ten respectively, are reading in class IV and Vth in schools in Rishikesh and Raiwala areas.
At a heart-felt gathering that lasted for an hour, the three children, proudly accompanied by their parents, fittingly received their scholarship letters from GPH patients, who are showing great courage in the face of adversity.
A music band called Acoustics, comprising students from the army school led by their senior, sang a soulful song in praise of mother Ganga. Everybody enjoyed chats over tea after the award function and promised to meet up again.
