Stitching a Brighter Future: Ganga Prem Hospice Empowers Meer Jahan’s Family
In Jatbhadrpur, Haridwar, a young family’s life was forever changed when 39-year-old Shaukeen lost his battle with Carcinoma Urinary Bladder on January 22, 2024. Ganga Prem Hospice’s Haridwar Home Care team had been a steady source of comfort, providing regular visits for pain and symptom management.

Shaukeen’s passing left his wife, Meer Jahan, 35 years old, and their three minor children facing uncertainty. As the sole breadwinner, Meer Jahan received minimal support from relatives. Ganga Prem Hospice stepped in, providing monthly ration provisions.
Ganga Prem Hospice went beyond medical care, empowering Meer Jahan to secure her family’s future. With the help of a generous sponsor, the hospice gifted her a sewing machine.
On the day the Sewing Machine was handed over to Meer Jahan, her 13-year-old daughter expressed gratitude by saying:
“I thank Ganga Prem Hospice and the people who donated the machine. Now our mother can support us independently.”
