Wellness Gathering at GPH – Healing Together

“Wellness Gathering” first program at GPH as part of “Healing Together”
Medical Social Workers of Ganga Prem Hospice (GPH) has initiated a groundbreaking program, “Healing Together – Cancer Family Network,” designed to foster a supportive community for cancer patients, caregivers, and bereaved families. This therapeutic program aims to bring people together to share experiences, knowledge, and emotions while navigating the cancer journey.

The inaugural program was successfully conducted in Rishikesh, with homecare patients and their families participating. The event began with meditation, followed by introductions and sharing of personal cancer journeys. Patients and caregivers openly discussed their experiences, including the emotional reactions they faced upon diagnosis.

Interactive activities, such as writing down gratitude and creating handprint memories, added a touching and meaningful dimension to the program. Participants expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Ganga Prem Hospice, citing the program as a much-needed initiative that brought them joy, relaxation, and a sense of connection.
One of the most significant outcomes was the opportunity for patients and caregivers to share their feelings with family members, which they often struggle to do in their daily lives.

Medical Social Workers of Ganga Prem Hospice plans to conduct this program on a monthly basis in different cities, providing a safe and supportive space for those affected by cancer to heal together.
