A story of a Child who is under Ganga Prem Hospice’s “Children Education Program”
Anjali Singh, a bright and ambitious young girl, had just achieved a remarkable milestone – passing her class 10 board exams with an impressive 80% marks. But what made this achievement even more special was the journey she had undertaken to reach this point.
Anjali’s father, Dharmendra Singh (Suffered from advanced stage oral cancer), had been a home care patient of Ganga Prem Hospice in Rishikesh before his passing in 2019. After his demise, the hospice extended their support to the family through the “Children’s Education Program”, sponsoring the education of Anjali and her two sisters, Kusum and Nirjala, since 2022.
On June 30, 2024, Anjali wanted to express her gratitude to the Ganga Prem Hospice team, distributing sweets to celebrate her achievement. Her sisters, Kusum (class 8) and Nirjala (class 12), joined in, beaming with pride.
Rekha, the girls’ mother, was overwhelmed with emotion, thanking Ganga Prem Hospice for their kindness and support. “They remembered us in our darkest hour and understood our struggles. Their sponsorship has been a blessing, allowing my daughters to pursue their dreams,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude. Despite her best efforts to provide for her family, Rekha’s income as a saleswoman was barely enough to make ends meet. But with Ganga Prem Hospice’s support, her daughters could now focus on their education, free from the burdens of financial worry.
Anjali and her sisters were determined to make the most of this opportunity, working hard and striving for excellence. Their success was a testament to the power of compassion and the impact that Ganga Prem Hospice and the team of Ganga Prem Hospice can have on lives.
