HOSPALCON-23 Conference in celebration of World Hospice Day

This conference brought together speakers, moderators, students, and faculty members from renowned nursing and medical colleges in Uttarakhand, along with experts and individuals from various prestigious institutions.

Day 1: October 14, 2023

The conference began on the auspicious occasion of World Hospice Day at Maa Anandmayee Memorial School, Raiwala, starting at 8:30 am and concluding at 4:30 pm. Madam Harmala Gupta, the founder of CanSupport, graced the event as the chief guest. She inaugurated the conference with a ceremonial lamp lighting and delivered an inspiring speech, setting the tone for the days to come.

Day 2: October 15, 2023

The conference continued at Ganga Prem Hospice in Raiwala, Rishikesh. The day began with a rejuvenating yoga session and a lively kirtan session by Himalayan Chants, creating a devotional and mindful atmosphere for the participants. A poster competition added an element of creativity and engagement to the conference. Prizes were awarded to the winners, fostering a sense of achievement and encouragement among the participants. Both days were attended by Nani maa and Dr. A.K. Dewan, the founder of Ganga Prem Hospice, who provided invaluable support and guidance.

The conference committee ensured that all participants were well taken care of by arranging refreshments, lunch, and hi-tea, ensuring everyone’s comfort and sustenance throughout the event.

The central theme of the conference was palliative care and hospice care for terminally ill patients. Inauguration of Ambulance Donation

As a poignant and significant gesture, the conference concluded with the inauguration of an ambulance donated by the Bank of India to Ganga Prem Hospice. This symbolic act emphasized commitment to providing essential care and support to those in need.
