The festival of colours Holi fell on the 18th of March and the Ganga Prem Hospice team did not lose the opportunity to celebrate it with their patients, caregivers and colleagues.

On the eve of Holi, the hospice team got together to put colour on each other, have sweets and a cooling thandai drink, and shake a leg. One of the patients felt strong enough to come out to play and throw colour at everybody. The rest of the patients were visited in their rooms and a colour mark put on their faces as a token of the spirit of holi. Caregivers, including a child, were delighted to see the fun spirit and joined in excitedly.

The fact that it was spring and the GPH gardens were full of flowers meant that some colour was made out of the fresh flowers too. The home care teams that were out in the field hurried back to celebrate with their colleagues.

Generous donors and supporters of Ganga Prem Hospice sent gujia sweets and thandai drinks and on the 18th of March, sponsored a feast for everybody which made the festival extra-special.
