Rama Foundation and Cambridge University Hospital visit

RAMA Foundation and Cambridge University Hospital, NHS Team Collaborate to Support Ganga Prem Hospice (13-14 June 2023)

A collaboration between the Rama Foundation and Cambridge University Hospital team from the United Kingdom brought much-needed support and knowledge to Ganga Prem Hospice in Rishikesh, India. The initiative included educational sessions provided by experts in Physiotherapy and Dietetics.

The team from Cambridge University hospital prepared informative sessions to share their expertise with the hospice staff. On the first day a Physiotherapist led a course on the safe moving and handling of patients. This was particularly important in a hospice setting where patients often require assistance with mobility due to the advancement of their illness. The training equipped the staff with practical techniques to ensure the safety and comfort of the patients during transfers and movements.1pic 2pic
