1. The Ganga Prem Hospice Monthly Cancer Clinic in Rishikesh

Ganga Prem Hospice holds a monthly cancer clinic in Rishikesh. The clinic is held on the last Sunday of every month at the Sardarni Nanki Devi and Punjab Sindh Kshetra Charity Hospital. Dr Dewan, sometimes accompanied by Dr (Mrs) Dewan or Dr Goel, sees an average of 90 patients at each clinic. The clinic begins at 9:00am and finishes between 1:00 and 2:00pm.

Most patients that come to the clinic are from lower income brackets and very much need the facility. Many people who come are already suffering from cancer and many more come with cancer symptoms. New cases of cancer are diagnosed at every clinic and the patients are directed to the correct procedures. As much as possible, free medicines are distributed at the clinic.

3. The Ganga Prem Hospice Home Care Programme

This scheme gives donors and volunteers an opportunity to provide comfort and solace to terminally ill cancer patients in their own homes. The Ganga Prem Hospice medical team and volunteers visit terminally ill cancer patients and as much as possible provide medical, social, emotional and spiritual support to the patient and their families. Visits are carried out six days a week in the areas of Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun.

Our patients come from varied backgrounds, belong to different religions and have varied social status and economic standing. All have in common the pain and trauma of dealing with advanced cancer. All of our patients are treated with the same love and care by the Hospice team.
